Michael Katz graduated top of his class in 2005 from the University of Canberra in Economics and Communications (winning the ACT Economics Prize) and in 2008 with Distinction in a Master of Applied Finance at Charles Sturt University.
He has worked across venture capital, funds management and property transactions as a senior employee, investment manager and principal. Michael is a Director of CRK Properties and also works as an Associate Lecturer at the University of Sydney, where his research and teaching focus is on the area of dual mandated business and investment vehicles.
His current private sector projects include developing and writing a multi-billion food security investment strategy for a Middle-Eastern Sovereign Wealth Fund, executing two real estate development projects as a principal, manager and investor and successfully raising institutional capital across Asia, Europe and the United States.
Michael is also the President of a semi-professional football club in Sydney which currently plays in the National Premier League having achieved two promotions in three years, and recently retired as a player following a semi-professional career spanning 17 years and five continents.
Michael is multilingual and proficient in English, Croatian and German.
